New Slovakia coach Ján Kocian kept the positive momentum going as he led his side to a 2-1 win in a friendly game against United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi.
Second success
Having led his side to a 3-1 friendly win against Bulgaria in his first game in charge, goals from FC Senec defender Lubomír Michalík and his FK ZTS Dubnica counterpart Michal Jonáš put Slovakia 2-0 up against the side coached by Frenchman Bruno Metsu only for Esmail Mattar to score a late penalty for the home side.
Headed goals
With only players from the Czech and Slovakian leagues chosen to play, Jonáš made his mark as he headed home a corner five minutes after the interval and Michalík then found the target with his head three minutes later. Slovakia are third in UEFA EURO 2008™ Group D with six points from four games.
