Group A leaders Poland have lost key defender Arkadiusz Głowacki for next month's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers in Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Kokoszka chance
The 28-year-old will have surgery on a hand injury on Tuesday and is unlikely to play for his club Wisła Kraków again this season. He is set to be replaced at international level by club-mate Adam Kokoszka, a 20-year-old centre-back originally named on Leo Beenhakker's reserve list for the matches in Baku on 2 June and Yerevan four days later. In qualifying for next summer's finals, Poland are five points ahead of three teams in their section - Portugal, Serbia and Finland - although they have played a game more.
