France will prepare for their decisive UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Italy by organising a first B team international since 2001.

'Bigger picture'
Coach Raymond Domenech will lead a team of fringe internationals into a match against a Slovakia B side in Trnava on 21 August, a day after the senior squads meet in Senec. "I want to see as many players as I can to give me a bigger picture before qualifying resumes," said the 55-year-old. Les Bleus lead UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying Group B, two points above world champions Italy whom they will face at the San Siro on 8 September. The last time a France B team was fielded, they lost 2-1 to Germany.
