Liechtenstein coach Hans-Peter Zaugg has named an 19-man squad for the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Latvia that could lift them off the bottom of Group F.

High hopes
A 3-0 win against Iceland last month lifted Liechtenstein to within one point of their victims and two of Latvia. Therefore a victory for Liechtenstein in Riga on 17 November would be enough to ensure they did not finish last in the seven-team group, provided four days later Iceland do not prevail in Denmark or Latvia triumph in Sweden. A draw would also lift Liechtenstein above Iceland on head-to-head record.

Liechtenstein squad
Goalkeepers: Peter Jehle (Boavista FC), Daniel Steuble (FC Herisau).

Defenders: Fabio D'Elia (USV Eschen/Mauren), Daniel Hasler (FC Vaduz), Yves Oehri (FC Winterthur), Martin Stocklasa (SG Dynamo Dresden), Michael Stocklasa (USV Eschen Mauren), Franz-Josef Vogt (FC Balzers).

Midfielders: Martin Büchel (FC Zürich), Ronny Büchel (USV Eschen/Mauren), Franz Burgmeier (FC Basel 1893), Beni Fischer (FC Vaduz), Andreas Gerster (USC Eschen/Mauren), Michele Polverino (FC Vaduz), Raphael Rohrer (USV Eschen/Mauren).

Forwards: Roger Beck (FC BW Feldkirch), Thomas Beck (FC BW Feldkirch), Daniel Frick (FC Balzers), Mario Frick (AC Siena).
