Zwyssig back for Georgia test

Switzerland coach Jakob Kuhn has handed a recall to FC Basel defender Marco Zwyssig.

Switzerland coach Jakob Kuhn has handed a recall to FC Basel defender Marco Zwyssig for the UEFA EURO 2004™ Group 10 qualifier in Georgia on 2 April.

Henchoz out
The 32-year-old Zwyssig, who has been capped 15 times, returns to the 17-man squad in place of Liverpool FC defender Stéphane Henchoz. Zwyssig's last international appearance was in May 2002 in a friendly international against Canada. Henchoz is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Stiel missing
Kuhn is without first-choice goalkeeper Jörg Stiel, who is suspended, and will have to choose between Grasshopper-Club's Fabrice Borer and Basel's Pascal Zuberbühler to deputise. Also missing are Ludovic Magnin (SV Werder Bremen), Stephan Keller (FC Zürich) and Sébastien Fournier (Servette FC).

Additions expected
Two additions will be made to Kuhn's squad after the Swiss Cup quarter-finals are played tonight. Switzerland beat Georgia 4-1 in Basel last year and currently lead the qualifying group with seven points from three games.

Switzerland squad
Borer, Stiel, Zuberbühler, Haas, Meyer, Müller, M. Yakin, Berner, Zwyssig, Cabanas, Celestini, Vogel, Wicky, H. Yakin, Cantaluppi, Chapuisat, Frei, Thurre.
