Site a boost to Portugal

The euro2004.com website has a key role to play, Euro 2004, S.A. chairman Gilberto Madaíl said.

Gilberto Madaíl, chairman of Euro 2004, S.A. and president of the Portuguese Football Federation, has highlighted the role that the UEFA EURO 2004™ official website, euro2004.com, can play in raising the profile both of the tournament and of the host country itself.

'Plenty of visitors'
"There will be plenty of visitors to the website, so it is important for it to be truly informative, not only displaying our stadiums but also demonstrating the ability of a small nation to host a big event," said Madaíl at the launch of euro2004.com in Porto on 29 March.

A lot to offer
"If, in our website, we can explain what our country offers in terms of its hospitality, culture and way of life, I think it will contribute to the success of EURO 2004™ - not only by bringing people to the matches but by attracting people to Portugal," Madaíl added.

City guides
The official website aims to provide visitors with as much information as possible to make their stay in Portugal an enjoyable one - including city and stadium guides and accommodation details.
