Szabics gets Hungary call

Hungary coach Imre Gellei has given Imre Szabics his first call-up for the friendly against Luxembourg.

Imre Gellei has included SK Sturm Graz striker Imre Szabics in his Hungary squad for the first time for Wednesday's friendly international against Luxembourg.

'A good player'
Szabics scored four goals against Sweden for the Under-21s earlier this month and has played under Gellei at that level. "He was a good player at the time when I was the coach of the U21s back in 2001," said Gellei. "He has developed a lot lately and the final factor was his sensational performance against Sweden."

Trio missing
Defenders Flórián Urbán and László Bodnár and striker Miklós Fehér are missing from the 20-man squad because of injuries. Wednesday's match, Gellei added, was an "important warm-up" for the UEFA EURO 2004™ Group 4 matches against Latvia and San Marino in June.
