Early return
The 27-year-old last played for his Serbian club, FK Crvena Zvezda, two weeks ago and was reportedly in doubt for this summer's finals after sustaining what looked like a serious injury. However, he said today: "The pessimistic diagnosis did not come true. My knee was examined and it turns out the ligaments were not damaged." Poland assistant coach Bogusław Kaczmarek added: "The doctor who conducted the surgery said Grzegorz will be able to start playing with a knee brace in seven to ten days."
