FC Spartak Moskva forward Vasilyuk has scored six goals in 12 matches for his country and has just returned to action for his club team after six months out with an ankle injury. However, team-mate Vasili Baranov is not in coach Eduard Malofeev's 21-man squad.
Standby players
Malofeev has also named five reserve players on standby for his first-choice selection including FC Dinamo Minsk duo Vitali Volodenkov and Sergei Kovalchuk and FC BATE Borisov pair Igor Chumachenko and Dmitri Likhtarovich, along with FC Dynamo Kyiv's 18-year-old talent Artem Milevski, who is still courted by Ukraine.
Points needed
Belarus, who are fourth in qualifying Group 3 with one victory from four matches, trail the Czech Republic and the Netherlands by seven points. They first welcome the Dutch to Minsk on 7 June, before heading to Austria on 11 June.
