Anthuenis recalls trio

Philippe Clement, Nico Van Kerckhoven and Didier Dheedene are back in the Belgium squad.

Belgium coach Aimé Anthuenis has made three changes to his 20-man squad for the UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifiers against Bulgaria and Andorra next month.

Three miss out
Philippe Clement, Nico Van Kerckhoven and Didier Dheedene are back in the fold having missed the recent friendly against Poland, while Joos Valgaeren, Jelle Van Damme and Olivier Deschacht are not included.

Valgaeren injury
Celtic FC defender Valgaeren would have been selected but is suffering from concussion after taking a heavy blow to the cheekbone during the UEFA Cup final last week. Belgium, who are third in Group 8, visit leaders Bulgaria on 7 June before facing Andorra four days later.

Belgium squad
De Vlieger, Herpoel, Van Buyten, Simons, Van der Heyden, Van Kerckhoven, Deflandre, Dheedene, Clement, De Cock, Baseggio, Goor, Englebert, Soetaers, Mudingayi, Buffel, Martens, E Mpenza, M Mpenza, Sonck.
