Denmark coach Morten Olsen has made just one change to the squad that faced Finland last week, with Brøndby IF defender Per Nielsen replacing Viborg FF's Asbjørn Sennels for next month's UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifier against Romania.
'No room for experiments'
Denmark face Romania in Copenhagen on 10 September desperate to defend their place at the top of qualifying Group 2 with two matches to play. "There is no room for experiment before a game of such importance and against an opponent of Romania's class," said Olsen. "So we're looking to the players we know."
Doubts over duo
Olsen was relieved that at least one of the players who picked up injuries in the 1-1 draw with Finland - captain René Henriksen - had made a quick recovery but there are still doubts over AC Milan defender Martin Laursen and Everton FC midfield player Thomas Gravesen, although both are included.
Extra call-ups
"So far I am counting on both, but I may add two extra players on Friday, when I have seen how the Danish teams in the [UEFA] Champions League and UEFA Cup qualifiers have performed," he said. Denmark complete their qualifying programme away in Bosnia-Herzegovina on 11 October.
