Yartsev has welcomed back several players for the Group 10 games in Dublin on 6 September and in Moscow four days later. Recalled are goalkeeper Viatcheslav Malafeev, and midfield players Yegor Titov, Alexandre Mostovoi, Dmitri Alenichev, Igor Semshov, Vladislav Radimov and Valeri Essipov.
Radimov was last capped in 1998 while Essipov, 31, returns after a nine-year absence. The only new face is 17-year-old PFC CSKA Moskva goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, who is enjoying a fine debut season in the Russian Premier League.
Russia are currently third in Group 10, three points behind the Republic of Ireland and five adrift of Switzerland. However, they have a game in hand on both countries. Yartsev's team will end their campaign with a home match against Georgia on 11 October.
