Gianni De Biasi, Albania coach:

It was a historic victory for Albania and the most important match of my career, but now it's over. We did a good job. Armenia got into our area once and scored, but we dominated the rest of the match. They are a team that defends well, and we know it would be difficult. At half-time I told my players we could win this match - we were full of belief, and we did it. The match against Armenia was, as I said, the most important of my career, but now the next qualifier against Denmark is the match of my life.

Albania are the odd team out this Week of Football, the only one of the 53 qualifying hopefuls not in competitive action. They are busy enough, though, with friendlies against France (Friday) and Italy (Tuesday).

Giovanni De Biasi has selected a 27-man squad for the games, including first call-ups for Arlind Ajeti and goalkeeper Stivi Frasheri. There is no place for Alban Meha and Shkëlzen Gashi while Ledjan Memushaj and Erando Karabeci earn recalls.

Goalkeepers: Etrit Berisha (SS Lazio), Orges Shehi (KS Skënderbeu), Stivi Frasheri (KF Tirana).

Defenders: Ansi Agolli (Qarabağ FK), Lorik Cana (SS Lazio), Debatik Curri (KF Tirana), Andi Lila (PAS Giannina FC), Mërgim Mavraj (1. FC Köln), Elseid Hysaj (Empoli FC), Emir Lenjani (FC St Gallen), Taulant Xhaka (FC Basel 1893), Arlind Ajeti (FC Basel 1893).

Midfielders: Amir Abrashi (Grasshopper Club), Ervin Bulku (KF Tirana), Ergys Kaçe (PAOK FC), Burim Kukeli (FC Zürich), Ledjan Memushaj (Pescara Calcio), Herolind Shala (Odds BK), Odhise Roshi (FSV Frankfurt), Valdet Rama (TSV 1860 München), Emiljano Vila (KF Partizani).
