Mixu Paatelainen, Finland coach

In previous matches we have tried to dominate with attack, but we changed our tactics. We tried to defend well and make counterattacks. We tried to make Hungary's play uncomfortable and we did quite well from time to time. It is difficult to think of anything positive at the moment. It is such a huge disappoinment. But one player who played well was Jukka Raitala.

The Töölön Pallokenttä stadium next to Helsinki's Olympic Stadium has been officially renamed the Erik von Frenckell Stadium ahead of kick-off between the Finland and Sweden Under-21 sides. Former Finnish Football Association (SPL-FBF) president Von Frenckell helped to conceive the proper real football ground in Finland 100 years ago, with the venue home to the national team until the Olympic Stadium was built. The friendly game precedes tonight's big qualifier betwen Finland and Hungary.
