Ukraine 1-1 Latvia
Latvia grabbed a last-gasp draw in Lviv to deny Ukraine a friendly victory. Andriy Yarmolenko's first-half strike, his 19th for his country, looked to have secured a narrow home success, but the visitors levelled via Aleksandr Maksimenko's (pictured) header following a corner with seconds remaining. Ukraine coach Mykhailo Fomenko selected his best possible lineup; in contrast, Latvia's Marians Pahars picked an experimental side.
Mykhailo Fomenko, Ukraine coach:
I regret the result. My players did very well - the score is a due to bad luck. Nerves played an important role. I had to change some players for this game due to injuries. All the mistakes done today will be taken in consideration for the future. We had to change our tactics after the break because the first half was not good for us. All of the players in the Spanish national team are good, I cannot highlight just one.
