FYR Macedonia coach Boshko Durovski shares his thoughts ahead of Saturday's Group C fixture against Slovakia:
This is a very important match for us, the players are aware of it and I have no doubt they will do their best as they're eager for good results. Slovakia have three victories from three in the group and obviously are favourites in this tie. They’re a disciplined team with some very good players. However, we’re also progressing from game to game. We lost against Ukraine [on matchday three] but we played a good game there and that boosted our confidence. Now we have to do even better and take full advantage of any chances we create. One goal won’t be enough against Slovakia.
News from the FYR Macedonia camp: striker Adis Jahović and Melbourne Victory FC right-back Daniel Georgievski have been sent home ahead of Saturday's qualifier against Slovakia. "Adis and Daniel were supposed to start the match, but both of them were suspended this morning and had to leave the camp," coach Boshko Djurovski announced at today's press conference in Skopje. "Let me repeat what I have already said many times before: I don't want players who lack discipline and disturb the atmosphere of the squad. Their exclusion won't have any negative impact on the rest of the team."
