Bosnia and Herzegovina have taken off from the Sarajevo International Airport bound for Tel Aviv, and will then continue on to Haifa, where they meet Israel on Sunday. The players and the coaching staff are feeling positive, with coach Safet Sušić explaining: "We will play to win, just like our hosts. We can't count on our two strikers, Edin Džeko and Vedad Ibišević, but we have the players who can score winning goals." Concerns over goalkeeper Asmir Begović's fitness have subsided; the new captain's injury has healed his injury and he will be ready to lead his team-mates in Israel.
Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper Asmir Begović underwent further treatment on a minor groin injury this afternoon at the national side's training base in Zenica, but the Stoke City FC No1 is expected to be fit for the Group B encounter with Israel on Sunday. If he plays in Haifa, Begović will wear the captain's armband in the absence of injured striker Edin Džeko.
