Both Israel coach Eli Gutman and captain Tal Ben Haim flagged up the danger posed by Cyprus forward Dimitris Christofi, who scored twice to defeat Bosnia and Herzegovina on matchday one.
"Christofi is a very fast player and we all saw against Bosnia how quick he is. I know the Bosnian defenders are not slow so the way he accelerated past them showed just quick he is," said Ben Haim, who will be tasked with shackling the FC Sion man in tonight's fixture in Nicosia.
Gutman added: "I am preparing my side to face a good Cyprus side. If Christofi is in their starting lineup then he will be there because he is obviously their top striker."
