The Austrian press are feeling positive after a 1-0 qualifying win against Montenegro, with Kronen Zeitung saying: "In almost three years under Marcel Koller, Austria have never played as well as against Montenegro." In a column, sports editor Robert Sommer sticks his neck out and says: " I now declare: Austria will be a proud EURO participant in 2016."

Kleine Zeitung reins in the euphoria a little. "Austria celebrated a 1-0 win against Montenegro, but should have scored a lot more," it notes. Der Standard refers back to the legendary 'Wunderteam' of the 1930s and adds: "While this is surely is no Wunderteam yet, Austria once more have a very good national side." Austria have now gone eight games without defeat, and Der Standard notes: "The last time we had a run like this was from January 1979 to April 1980, long before the current crop of Austria players was born."

Austria defender Sebastian Prödl ahead of tonight's home game against Montenegro:

It's a home game and if things go to plan then I back us to put in a great performance. We need to use our momentum and go into Sunday's game with the confidence and belief that we can beat Montenegro too.
