Czechs take the points in Vaduz

Liechtenstein 0-2 Czech Republic
Tomáš Necid and Václav Kadlec both found the net as the visiting side celebrated clinching their second Group I win in five days.

Goals from Tomáš Necid and Václav Kadlec earned the Czech Republic a 2-0 victory in Liechtenstein as Michal Bílek's side won for the second time in five days in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying Group I.

Necid opened the scoring with 12 minutes played before Kadlec struck the second on 29 minutes at the Rheinpark in Vaduz. Though Petr Čech in the visiting side's goal was called into action on a number of occasions, the Czech Republic emerged worthy winners to build on their 1-0 victory against Scotland on Friday.

Zdeněk Pospěch and Tomáš Rosický tested Liechtenstein goalkeeper Peter Jehle early on, but the home side were soon creating chances of their own. Sandro Wieser nodded narrowly over from close range, and then Philippe Erne struck a post with a header. In response, the Czech Republic made their next chance pay when Necid drove his shot under the bar from the edge of the area.

Kadlec doubled the lead from a similar distance 17 minutes later and the goal served to dampen the home side's morale. In control, the Czech Republic created several openings after the break, but a combination of poor finishing and Jehle's goalkeeping kept them at bay. At the other end, Franz Burgmeier spurned a good opportunity with 65 minutes played, and with that went Liechtenstein's chances as they slipped to their third straight defeat in the section.
