Just over 14 years after they last met, Liechtenstein and Lithuania come face to face again in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying Group I.
• Liechtenstein are one of six sides yet to earn a point in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying along with Andorra, Kazakhstan, Malta, San Marino and Wales.
• Lithuania kicked off their campaign with a 0-0 draw against Scotland and a shock 1-0 win in the Czech Republic, but have lost their last two Group I games to the holders Spain, both 3-1, and are second from bottom in the section.
• The nations' only previous meetings came in 1998 FIFA World Cup qualifying, with Lithuania winning 2-1 in Vilnius on 9 October 1996 and 2-1 in Eschen-Mauren on 30 April the following year.
• The reverse fixture will be played in Lithuania on 2 September, both teams' next competitive outing.
