The scorer of the opening goal restores Russia's two-goal lead. The ball breaks to Roman Pavlyuchenko who plays through the 21-year-old who lashes an emphatic finish past Petr Čech from the edge of the area.

The Czech Republic are back in it thanks to a lovely finish from the winger. Jaroslav Plašil is given too much space and cuts the defence in two with a perfect pass which Pilař collects and rounds Vyacheslav Malafeev before sliding into the net.

The FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder replaces Rezek to provide more steel in the midfield. Hübschman is appearing in his third EURO finals tournament.

I can see Russia increasing their advantage if they play like this after the break. Michal Bílek has some serious talking to do to his team in the break.

A beautiful finish makes it two. Andrey Arshavin split the defence with a brilliant pass, weighted perfectly for Shirokov who dinked the ball delicately over Petr Čech for his seventh international goal.

A brilliant cross from Konstantin Zyryanov finds Aleksandr Kerzhakov at the back post. The forward's header rebounds off Petr Čech's post and falls perfectly for the PFC CSKA Moskva man who drills low and powerfully into the net from inside the area.
