La Libre Belgique is going over every possible outcome of Belgium's upcoming game. "If we win in Wales, then the door to UEFA EURO 2016 will be wide open, because the next matches should be easier," it writes. "If we lose in Wales, we stay on 11 points, Wales go up to 14 and Israel could get ahead of us. Let's not forget that Wales have a gentle match schedule for September and October, so we cannot allow any mistakes." A draw? That could mean a three-way battle for the top two places. Conclusion: Belgium need to win.
Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois highlighted Wales's strengths as he addressed the press on Cardiff ahead of Friday's qualifier at the top of Group B. "[Gareth Bale] is a very good player, but they're a great team who can create chances. Great on the counter. We'll have to defend well.
"We learnt from the Brussels match [a 0-0 draw] that Wales are defensively strong so if we get a chance we have to take it. It's an important match for us if we want to qualify. Whoever wins will be a step closer to France. I think Wales will come out of their shell tomorrow, wanting to win in front of their fans."
