Interim Finland coach Markku Kanerva has made no surprise selections for the trip to Greece and the visit of the Faroe Islands. The only notable absentee is captain Niklas Moisander, who has been suffering from back problems, but he may still be included when Kanerva names one more player at a later date.
Hans Backe has been appointed the new coach of Finland. The 63-year-old Swede will succeed Mixu Paatelainen at the start of 2016, taking charge for FIFA World Cup qualification. For the rest of this year former assistant coach Markku Kanerva (pictured) will be in charge of the national team and former international players Jonatan Johansson and Mika Nurmela will assist him along with goalkeeping coach Antti Niemi.
