Liverpool FC and Denmark defender Daniel Agger has been sidelined for at least two months after suffering a knee injury at West Bromwich Albion FC on Saturday.
The 26-year-old limped off midway through the first half of Liverpool's 2-1 Premier League defeat with a tendon problem, making him an early doubt for Denmark's UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier in Iceland on 4 June.
The lay-off marks another fitness setback for centre-back Agger, who has been restricted to 93 Premier League appearances since joining Liverpool from Brøndby IF during the 2005/06 campaign. Denmark are third in qualifying Group H, trailing Portugal on goal difference and leaders Norway by three points, following their 1-1 draw in Oslo last month.
