Untimely break for Fulham's Davis

Fulham FC's Sean Davis faces six weeks out of action after breaking a toe at the weekend.

Fulham FC midfield player Sean Davis faces up to six weeks out of action after suffering a broken toe in the weekend match against Manchester United FC.

Four to six weeks
Davis completed the match but was in some pain and x-rays have confirmed a fractured little toe. "We have to protect his toe and make sure that the area isn't stressed," Fulham physiotherapist Jason Palmer told the club's official website, "this will allow the fracture to knit. Because it's such a small bone, you can't put in plaster. Fractures can take anything from four to six weeks to heal, but Sean may well be back earlier. At this point it's hard to predict."

Busy schedule
The injury is a blow to Fulham who play their UEFA Cup second round first-leg match against NK Dinamo Zagreb at the end of October as well as a busy Premiership schedule to contend with.
