Markos faces lengthy lay-off

FC PAOK have lost midfield player Dimitrios Markos for at least five months after he suffered a serious knee injury.

Double blow
The 32-year-old was hurt during Sunday's 3-0 league win at OFI Crete FC. He was not the only casualty, however, with fellow midfield man Giotis Engomitis ruled out for five weeks after sustaining ligament damage to his knee.

Hungarian test
PAOK are through to the UEFA Cup second round and will take on Debreceni VSC of Hungary over two legs next month. The Greek club are also going well in domestic action, with the victory against OFI taking them to fourth place in the table.
