Dnipro face nervous wait

Striker Oleg Venhlinskyy's achilles problem is just one of FC Dnipro Dniproptervosk's injury worries.

FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk have a number of injury problems ahead of their UEFA Cup third-round meeting with Olympique de Marseille.

Striker injured
Top scorer Oleg Venhlinskyy, who struck in both legs of Dnipro's first and second-round ties, has sustained an achilles injury, halting his participation in their friendly programme during the winter break. Meanwhile, 21-year-old midfield player Vitaliy Komarnitskiy has a knee injury.

Defensive worries
Three defenders are also doubtful for the Marseille tie, Olexandr Radchenko, Gennadiy Moroz and Olexandr Poklonskyy. In Poklonskyy's case, he has undergone groin surgery and the timing of his return is uncertain. The first leg in Marseille is scheduled for 26 February and the return a week later.
