African boost to Beveren

Belgian qualifiers KSK Beveren have added another four players from the Ivory Coast to their squad.

Academy imports
Three of the players, 18-year-old defenders Tamla Ladji Mekeme 'Zito' and Ouattara Sekou, and 19-year-old striker Koudou Alain 'Arunina', have come from Beveren's academy in the African country and have signed three-year contracts. The fourth arrival, 21-year-old forward Tia Tokbe Olivier, has joined from Stade d'Abidjan on a one-year deal.

African connection
The West African link is nothing new to Beveren who have occasionally fielded eleven players from the Ivory Coast in their side. Beveren, Belgian Cup finalists last season, play PFC Levski Sofia in the UEFA Cup first round and expect the new signings to be eligible.
