Investigation launched
Argentinian defender Fernando Ávalos and Brazilian duo Fábio Barbosa and Josiesley Rosa were suspended after being arrested and appearing in court following an alleged incident involving police officers in a Madeira nightclub at the weekend. With the judicial process continuing, the club also launched their own investigation.
Short trip
However, Nacional have now said the trio can return to the first-team squad and they were due to travel with their team-mates to Spain today ahead of tomorrow night's UEFA Cup first-round first leg against Sevilla FC. The Portuguese club will stage the return fixture on 30 September.
