Alkmaar and GAK on a high

Group F reaction: AZ Alkmaar and Grazer AK were in buoyant mood after excellent wins.

Wronki were very solid and did well in the individual battles. They were also very dangerous on the break which they showed by taking the lead. The key for us was our wing play. Our passing was perfect and we had the right target man in Roland Kollmann. Now we can go to Glasgow [to face Rangers FC] without any nerves, as we'll have nothing to lose there. GAK coach Walter Schachner

Congratulations to GAK, they deserved to win. As expected, their experience told. We took the lead, but GAK were able to come back after two mistakes by my team. Then we had to attack and they made it 3-1 and were clever enough to protect their advantage. We'll try to give our best in the next two matches. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to get through. Amica coach Maciej Skorz

The game was easier than anticipated. The first half went very well, with an excellent solo goal from Stein Huysegems to make it 2-0. We weren't as good in the second half but that is logical when you are leading, we were able to take it easier. I am a little surprised, however, by how mature our players are, especially when I think back to two years ago when I started here. Alkmaar coach Co Adriaanse

We knew very well that AZ are a team that always start matches at a fast pace. This is exactly what happened tonight, but our defence went missing. This meant that the match was over after 15 minutes. We put in a bad performance against a good team. Auxerre coach Guy Roux
