Surgery imminent
The 26-year-old sustained the injury in the 20th minute of the 1-1 draw following an innocuous challenge with Stavros Labriakos. Giorgiopoulos, who has played in all eleven of AEK's Alpha Ethniki matches this season, will undergo surgery this week.
Out of Europe
The Greek side complete their UEFA Cup group stage campaign against TSV Alemannia Aachen on Wednesday but cannot reach the group stage. AEK are third in the domestic table, level with Panathinaikos on 25 points and three adrift of leaders Olympiacos CFP.
