Scorer and creator
Lincoln's original deal was due to expire in 2007, but Schalke were keen to lengthen it after the player scored five goals in 15 Bundesliga games before the winter break. "Lincoln is an extremely important player for us," said coach Ralf Rangnick. "He can both create and score goals, and we hope this new contract will give him even more confidence."
'Very happy'
Lincoln, 26 tomorrow, added: "I feel very much at home here. Schalke is like my family and if it was up to me, I would sign a ten-year contract.
