Zaragoza ready for repeat display

Real Zaragoza are hoping for a replica of their first-leg win as Fenerbahçe SK travel to Spain.

Despite some inconsistent domestic form, Primera División side Real Zaragoza are looking good to qualify for the UEFA Cup Round of 16 after their superb 1-0 win away to Fenerbahçe SK in Turkey last week.

González plea
With the double advantage of playing at home and the one-goal lead given to them by defender Alvaro in Istanbul, striker Óscar González has called on Zaragoza's fans to make as much noise as possible as the Spanish club attempt to recreate that first-leg display.

'Need for support'
"The job is far from complete and it would be brilliant if we could replicate the atmosphere in Istanbul at our own ground," said the Zaragoza forward. "The weather has not been too good and I hope that does not deter fans from coming to the ground to cheer us on. We will need all their support."

Duo absent
Besides the season-long absence of centre-half César Jiménez, who tore his knee ligaments against Real Madrid CF last month, and left-back Delio Toledo, who has a thigh muscle injury, Zaragoza will be at full strength for the match.

Fenerbahçe rout
Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe got back to winning ways in style at the weekend with a resounding 7-0 home win against Kayserispor, with Marcio Nobre scoring twice and Marco Aurelio, Alex, Ümit Özat, Tuncay Sanli and Serhat Akin also finding the net.

Sentürk absent
The only new injury in the Fenerbahçe squad is striker Semih Sentürk, who is sidelined with a groin problem. Brazilian defender Fabio Luciano will take his place after recovering from a minor ankle problem, while his compatriot Marco Aurelio returns from suspension. Goalkeeper Rüstü Reçber and Alex missed training on Monday with minor injuries but will be fit for the trip to north-east Spain.
