Van der Struijk worry for Willem II

Willem II will be without Frank van der Struijk for two months after the young central defender broke a bone in his left foot on Sunday.

Break revealed
The 20-year-old sustained the injury six minutes into Sunday's Dutch Eredivisie match at RBC Roosendaal and subsequent hospital tests revealed the break. The foot was immediately put into plaster.

Defensive doubts
Van der Struijk now misses both legs of Willem II's UEFA Cup first-round tie against French side AS Monaco FC on 15 and 29 September. The club are also hamstrung by injuries to Van der Struijk's fellow defenders Frank van Mosselveld, Jos van Nieuwstadt and Michel Kreek.
