Romanian Under-19 left-back Laszlo Sepsi has joined UEFA Cup contenders Stade Rennais FC on loan.

Romanian Under-19 left-back Laszlo Sepsi has joined UEFA Cup contenders Stade Rennais FC on a one-season loan from Romanian Divizia B side FC Gaz Metan Medias.

Reserve role
Sepsi will join up with the reserves at Rennes, but general manager Pierre Dréossi said: "He will play for the first team if necessary." The French club will have the option to keep him for a further year after the initial loan period ends.

Multiple signings
Rennes finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season and enter the UEFA Cup in the first round on 15 and 29 September. Sepsi is the fourth new face to join the Brittany side this summer, following John Utaka from RC Lens, Youssouf Hadji from SC Bastia and Alain Rochat from BSC Young Boys.
