Bolton are Keane for success

Bolton Wanderers FC have extra incentive to seal their progress from the group stage as they take on already-qualified Sevilla FC on Wednesday night.

Keane hope
Such an achievement would only help Bolton's attempts to entice in-demand Irish midfielder Roy Keane. Under new UEFA regulations this season, clubs can exceptionally register one additional player who has already played in European competition from the Round of 32 onwards, provided the new team is taking part in a different UEFA competition.

Win wanted
A point would be enough, and even a defeat acceptable provided Beşiktaş JK do not win the other Group H match at Vitória SC and move above on goal difference. Bolton, without Henrik Pedersen (achilles) and Iván Campo (foot), are thinking only of victory, however. "Wednesday's game is important and we'd like to finish top of the group," said El Hadji Diouf, who scored in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Aston Villa FC. "If we beat Sevilla we will get a lot more respect."

Duo suspended
Sevilla travel to England safe in the knowledge they are through but will want to put two domestic defeats behind them, having lost 2-0 at home to RC Deportivo La Coruña and 2-1 away at FC Barcelona, despite leading in the latter game last Sunday. Juande Ramos has selected a strong squad, with the exception of the suspended Enzo Maresca and Daniel Alves, but is expected to name several reserves.

Fully focused
Chairman José María del Nido said: "Sevilla have a duty to win on any ground and our advantage is that we have qualified already, unlike our opponents. They have to play us to get through to the last 16, but we will try to win this match whatever."
