Knee operation
Monaco take on Swiss champions FC Basel 1893 in their Round of 32 tie in February but may have do so without Chevantón, who is expected to take six weeks to recover following an operation to treat damage to cartilage in his right knee on Wednesday.

Troublesome injury
The 25-year-old Uruguayan international has been plagued by a recurring knee problems since the start of the season and has only managed to play the full 90 minutes of two matches. He has nevertheless scored two league goals this term, and another against Willem II in a 3-1 UEFA Cup win in September.
