The Sicilians previously brought in the experienced Parma FC custodian Cristiano Lupatelli in a deal that saw former No1 Matteo Guardalben head in the opposite direction. The 22-year-old Agliardi, who appeared 18 times in Serie A for Brescia, will provide back-up for Lupatelli with Argentinian Mariano Andujar likely to drop to third choice. Palermo are tenth in Serie A after 21 matches, but have a UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie against SK Slavia Praha to look forward to next month.
