UEFA Cup hopefuls Paris Saint-Germain FC have continued their summer shopping spree with the signing of Cameroonian midfielder Albert Baning from FC Aarau. The 21-year-old completed his €1m move from the Swiss First Division side on Friday, putting pen to a four-year-contract.

'Extraordinary potential'
"We think he has extraordinary potential," said PSG president Alain Cayzac. Baning spent just half a season in Switzerland, during which time he accunulated 17 league starts for Aarau. Before that he played four seasons in China, winning the league's best foreign player accolade last season while at Shanghai Zobon FC.

Fifth signing
The French Cup winners have now made five signings this close-season, with Baning's arrival following those of France goalkeeper Mickaël Landreau, Sammy Traoré, David Hellebuyck and Amara Diané.
