Bergvold bound for Livorno

UEFA Cup contenders AS Livorno Calcio have signed Danish Under-21 international midfielder Martin Bergvold from FC København for an undisclosed fee.

European pedigree
A product of the København youth system, the 22-year-old won three Danish titles with the club and made four appearances in their inaugural UEFA Champions League campaign this season as København failed to progress to the knockout stage after finishing fourth in Group F. Bergvold is Livorno's second signing of the January transfer window after Carmine Coppola joined from FC Messina Peloro. The Tuscan club face RCD Espanyol in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 next month.
