Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC have one last chance to snatch a place in the last 32 of the UEFA Cup as they host eliminated Aalborg BK in their final Group G game hoping results go their way elsewhere.

• Getafe CF are at home against RSC Anderlecht in Wednesday's other Group G game.

• Hapoel are fourth in Group G with three points, having won their game at Getafe 2-1 following 2-0 losses at Anderlecht and at home to Tottenham Hotspur FC.

• Anything other than a win against AaB is sure to see them eliminated from the competition, and even a victory may not be enough, depending on the outcome of the other Group G game.

• If Getafe beat Anderlecht, a win of any magnitude would send Hapoel through. If Getafe and Anderlecht draw, Hapoel would need to win by at least five goals to match Anderlecht's +2 goal difference. If Anderlecht win, Hapoel would need to win by a sufficient margin to better Getafe's goal difference.

• The highest Hapoel can finish in the section is third. Third-placed sides will face group winners from one of the other sections in the last 32, playing the home leg first.

• Two defeats and a draw mean AaB have no chance of progressing to the last 32, but Erik Hamrén's side can still reflect on a successful autumn having gone into the winter break in Denmark two points clear of champions FC København at the top of the table.

• By contrast Hapoel are enduring a miserable domestic season and have spent several weeks at the foot of the 12-team Israeli table.

• Hapoel coach Guy Luzon was dismissed in late November, and while caretaker Ron Zivlin led them to success at Getafe, Eli Guttman left AEL Limassol FC to become their new coach on 4 December. He said: "I see it as a great privilege to coach Hapoel Tel-Aviv. I was glad to receive the club's approach. I see Hapoel as a leading club and will try and restore them to their glory days."

• The two teams have never met in UEFA club competition.

• Hapoel have never before faced a Danish side, but AaB faced Israeli opposition at home in the 1996 UEFA Intertoto Cup group stage, beating Hapoel Haifa FC 5-4.

• That game was one of only six meetings between Israeli and Danish sides in UEFA club competition. Of those games, Israeli sides has won one, drawn two and lost three, with the two draws and the win all coming in home games.

• Defeat against Tottenham ended a six-game unbeaten run for Hapoel at home in UEFA club competition.

• AaB have not won in their last six UEFA club competition away games, since triumphing 3-1 at FK Žalgiris Vilnius in the second qualifying round of the 2004/05 UEFA Cup.

• Hapoel's Shay Abutbul is within a point of a one-match suspension, along with AaB's Rade Prica and Karim Zaza.

• The draw for the Round of 32 and Round of 16 will be held in Nyon on 21 December from 13.00 CET.
