Belgium Under-21 international defender Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe has moved from RSC Anderlecht to fellow UEFA Cup contenders Hamburger SV for an undisclosed fee.

Unspecified terms
The 18-year-old has signed an unspecified long-term contract with the Bundesliga club and will link up with Huub Stevens' side when they travel to Dubai on Monday to start preparations for the second half of the season. Hamburg sporting director Dietmar Beiersdorfer said: "Vadis is a young player with unusual ability who takes responsibility on the pitch. Alongside his vision and technique his man to man marking is one of his big strengths."

First goal
Odjidja-Ofoe had made just three appearances for Anderlecht, scoring in his final game in a 3-2 win against RAEC Mons on 22 December. The player said: "HSV is a big club with superb players. It has always been my aim to play for such a strong team." Hamburg, who have also agreed to sign young midfielder Jonathan Pitroipa from SC Freiburg in the summer, meet Swiss side FC Zürich in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 in February, while Anderlecht take on FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
