Agüero in doubt for Bolton trip

Club Atlético de Madrid forward Agüero is a doubt for the tie against Bolton Wanderers FC after spraining ligaments in his right ankle against Real Murcia CF.

Club Atlético de Madrid forward Agüero is a doubt for the UEFA Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers FC after spraining ligaments in his right ankle during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Real Murcia CF.

Bolton trip
The 19-year-old may face a two-week lay-off following his injury-enforced substitution against Real Murcia, prompting his withdrawal from the Argentina squad to play Guatemala in midweek. The question now is whether he will be fit for Atlético's visit to English side Bolton Wanderers in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 on 14 February. Club doctor José María Villalón said: "After tests I can say it's not a serious injury. Once the swelling and bruising go down, I think we're looking at ten days before he recovers." The return leg against Bolton takes place on 21 February.
