Sno gets second chance at Ajax

AFC Ajax have brought their former trainee Evander Sno back to Amsterdam, recruiting the 21-year-old midfield player from Celtic FC for an undisclosed fee.

Ajax homecoming
Sno will have a three-year contract with the club where he was a trainee before turning professional with Feyenoord. Returning to Ajax, he will also get the chance to add to the 14 Dutch Eredivisie appearances he made while on loan at NAC Breda during the 2005/06 season. Sno joined Celtic in the summer of 2006, going on to play 30 Scottish Premier League games. His football education continued with the Netherlands team at the Olympic football tournament in China this month. Previously he was called up by then Oranje coach Marco van Basten – his new boss at Ajax – for a November 2006 friendly against England, without getting on the pitch. Ajax start their UEFA Cup campaign in the first round next month.
