Supporting role

Deflected first
Tottenham should have been ahead long before Bent opened his account, with visiting defender Igor Bišcan's attempted clearance from Alan Hutton's cross striking the post and Huddlestone and Luka Modrić both going close. Former Dinamo star Modrić then set up Bent's first of the night on the half-hour mark, with the striker taking a touch before driving home via the unfortunate Bišcan's knee.

Worthy efforts
Three minutes later, Bent struck again. The ball came to Huddlestone after Dinamo failed to clear, and he selflessly teed up his team-mate to slide the ball under Ivan Kelava in the away side's goal. Bent passed up a first chance to complete a hat-trick as he put David Bentley's cross wide, and Bentley and Modrić also came up with worthy efforts.

Special strike
However, it was Huddlestone who made it 3-0, volleying low past Kelava direct from Bentley's corner. Bent looked to have been denied his treble after a 67th-minute effort was ruled out for offside, but Huddlestone ensured that the striker's night ended on a high, delivering the ball that split the Dinamo defence in the 70th minute and allowing the 24-year-old to claim the match ball.
