Mazzarri extends Napoli contract

SSC Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri said he will do "everything to give this wonderful town and these special fans the satisfaction they deserve" after signing a two-year contract extension.

Walter Mazzarri has signed a two-year contract extension as coach of UEFA Europa League contenders SSC Napoli, tying him to the Serie A club until June 2013.

The 48-year-old replaced former Italy trainer Roberto Donadoni in October, leading the Partenopei to a sixth-place finish. "I will give everything to give this wonderful town and these special fans the satisfaction they deserve," he said. Napoli will enter the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League in the play-off round.
