Make or break time for OB and Getafe

Odense BK and Getafe CF are in an unenviable position as they reconvene on Matchday 5, with the wrong combination of results in Group H potentially leading to both sides' elimination from the UEFA Europa League with a game to spare.

• No scenario can result in the two clubs reaching the round of 32. A draw coupled with a win for BSC Young Boys against section leaders VfB Stuttgart will mean the end of the road for both.

Previous meetings
• Substitute Pedro Ríos converted a splendid free-kick nine minutes from time as Getafe won 2-1 when the sides met for the first time on Matchday 1.

• OB's ten games against Spanish sides have ended W2 D0 L8 (W1 D0 L3 at home).

• The most celebrated of those meetings was OB's 2-0 away win against Getafe's near neighbours Real Madrid CF to secure a 4-3 aggregate victory that knocked the Spanish giants out of the 1994/95 UEFA Cup third round. That triumph was celebrated as 'The Miracle in Madrid'.

• Getafe's only previous meeting with Danish opponents prior to Matchday 1 resulted in a 2-1 win at Aalborg BK in the 2007/08 UEFA Cup group stage.

Match background
• A 2-0 win against Young Boys last time out ended a three-game losing streak for OB. Their 2-0 Matchday 2 defeat by Stuttgart was OB's only home loss in their last 12 UEFA club competition matches in Odense.

• Getafe's 3-0 loss to Stuttgart on Matchday 4 was their worst ever result at home in UEFA club competition.

• Getafe have lost all three of their games without scoring since beating OB. They have not won in four continental away ties since defeating SL Benfica 2-1 in the 2007/08 UEFA Cup round of 16.

Team facts
• OB parted ways with coach Lars Olsen on 14 September, bringing to an end a three-year tenure at the club. They have installed Uffe Pedersen in a caretaker's role, the 56-year-old having previously been in charge at OB between 2002 and 2004.

• 'The Miracle in Madrid' was the only one of OB's four games against Real Madrid that Getafe coach Míchel did not play in. The former midfielder featured in a 4-1 win in Odense, a 6-0 triumph at the Santiago Bernabéu in a 1990/91 European Champion Clubs' Cup first round tie, and another 3-2 win in Denmark in the first leg of the fateful 1994/95 encounter.

• One of the five locally born players at the heart of Madrid's successful 1980s and 1990s sides – dubbed the Quinta del Buitre (the Vulture's Cohort, in honour of their leader Emilio Butragueño) – Míchel won six Spanish titles and two UEFA Cups as a Madrid player. Initially a TV pundit after retirement, Míchel went into coaching with Rayo Vallecano, joining Getafe in April 2009 after a spell with Real Madrid's academy.
