KKS Lech Poznań's Tomasz Bandrowski is set for a three-month absence because of hip surgery.

The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has suffered sporadically from the injury throughout the season but returned to make a 13-minute substitute appearance against FC Salzburg on UEFA Europa League Matchday 6. "Unfortunately I feel pain again," said Bandrowski. "I am in touch with a specialist from Munich and will go there for consultation on 30 December. It is very probable that I will have to undergo surgery."

Lech finished second behind Manchester City FC in Group A and will face SC Braga in the round of 32, with the first leg in Poznan on 17 February and the return in Portugal the following week.
