PSV Eindhoven goalscorer Georginio Wijnaldum said that his side "want to be champions" after Thursday's 1-0 win at Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC kept up the visitors' perfect run in UEFA Europa League Group C. The matchday three result also left the Israeli team without a point – not that they are giving up.

Georginio Wijnaldum, PSV midfielder
In the first half we didn't play well because we had a lot of stray passes and it was difficult to be positive because they had ten men behind the ball. The second half we played more passes and we found more space.

We must play better passes at the beginning of matches to make our opponents run more in the first half. If we had done that this game would have been easier. Of course a lot of teams play like Hapoel in Holland, defensive, so we knew what to expect.

We want to be champions of this competition. If you have a team like we have, with lots of good players, then you must play for the trophy.

Ola Toivonen, PSV midfielder
We knew that thay were going to come out very slowly and concentrate on their defensive game and that is what happened. We knew in the second half we would have more space because they would get tired and that was the case.

The improvement in our play in the second half came about because we worked the ball quickly in front of their defence. We also won the ball early in the midfield and counterattacked well.

We want to win the next game and then go on to be the number one team in the group, which is our big aim. It would be nice to have six wins in this group.

Bevan Fransman, Hapoel defender

We played very well in the first half and didn't allow any big chances but we couldn't keep it up in the second. We became tired chasing their midfielders. The penalty really knocked us out.

It was disappointing we couldn't apply more pressure in the second half after we did so well early on. We will try and get some points in our final three games, starting with facing PSV away in two weeks' time.
